# Session checklist

Two short lists. The point of a checklist is not to be thorough — it is to be
short enough that you actually run it.

---

## Before the session

- [ ] **Loss limit for today is set, and I know what happens when I hit it.**
- [ ] I know which news is scheduled and when.
- [ ] I have a list of levels or setups I am watching. If it is empty, that is
a valid answer — it means today may be a no-trade day.
- [ ] Size for a standard trade is decided now, not later.
- [ ] I am fit to trade. Slept, not rushing, not carrying yesterday's result.

_If the last box is a no, the honest move is to trade smaller or not at all.
It is also the box people skip, which is why it is on the list._

---

## Before each entry

Ten seconds. This is the whole point of the checklist.

- [ ] **Which setup is this?** _(a name from my plan — not "it looks good")_
- [ ] Where is the stop, and why there?
- [ ] Where is the target, and why there?
- [ ] Would I take this trade if the last one had won?

The last question is the one that catches revenge trades. It costs nothing and
it is the only item here that changes behaviour reliably.

---

## After the session

Five minutes. **Process only — not results.**

- [ ] Did I take any trade that was not on my setup list? Which one?
- [ ] Did I skip a trade that was? Why?
- [ ] Did I move a stop? _(This one leaves no trace in any statement, so if
you do not write it now, it is gone.)_
- [ ] One line: what happened today that I want to remember in a month.

**Do not draw conclusions about your method today.** One session is not a
sample; that is what the monthly review is for.

---

## Once a week (20 minutes)

- [ ] Were my busy days worse than my quiet ones?
- [ ] Did I re-enter faster than usual after losses?
- [ ] Did position size drift?
- [ ] Did the stop hold when it was tested?
